The Brief

Our challenge was to brand and package a series of vanilla products targeting gourmet restaurants and foodies. The design should echo the rich and aromatic qualities of the product, whilst advertising the unique organic origins.

Our Response

We envisioned the brand in a vintage style. We drew inspiration from commercial labels in vintage retail fashions, affording the brand its own personality and conveying the products’ integrity for quality and taste.

We added a playful nod to ‘Alice in Wonderland’ with labels inviting the consumer to ‘Eat me’!

The Result

The final logo is inspired by splashes of vanilla essence and the obvious association of vanilla pods.

Its calligraphic style communicates the elegance of vanilla and the company’s passion for this valuable ingredient. For the labels, we made use of kraft paper stock and monotone printing to convey the vintage look, whilst keeping the brand fun and approachable through the use of quirky graphical elements.
