The Brief

A production company formed by film industry pundits to create storyline based feature film projects and integrated digital content.

The business image had to clearly focus on the creativity of the individuals and a unique approach to a typically derivative industry (in terms of brand). A point-of-difference in an otherwise familiar landscape.

Our Response

Protein were required to concept the actual Business Name. After exhausting well-worn thesauruses and snapping the nib of many a pencil – we settled on ‘Thred’. We promoted this as a key component in communicating that the stakeholders were storytellers first and foremost.

“Developing many ‘strands’ and ‘weaving’ them together to create a complete story”. Quite a bold move – as most identities in this arena focus on film imagery.

We wanted to create something that would last a little longer and call on the audience to look a little closer whilst munching on their popcorn.

The Result

The brand logo was combined with beautiful, intricate textures and fabrics across print media. We then created individual fabrics which relate to the personality traits of the Directors – allowing them unique brands within the company.
