Protein created the original anti-bullying fairytale Dandelion from concept-to-release. An interactive digital world unlike any other. An experience that makes the world a better place.
After ten years of successfully creating award-winning content for clients, Protein took the task to hand of creating original content within the studio.
One day, we happened upon a theme that struck a chord with the entire studio and Benjamin Brewster was born. A children’s anti-bullying story written by Protein’s Director, that spreads good will far and wide.
The project became bigger than we could of ever imagined. A #1 Book App, published by Random House, performed as a stage play and produced as merchandise. Just what we wished for.
In order to create something that would reach as broad an audience as possible… Dandelion had to be truly innovative.
Our approach was to do the impossible with an iPad. Allow the user to physically blow objects from the screen. After much workshopping and internal labs, we made the impossible possible and the story began.
Our strategic plan included online, book publication, mobile, TV and merchandise supported by a successful Kickstarter campaign. Carefully planned and executed, this created a series that has grown a life of its own.
